The FMRM has held the Commission on Financing, Competencies and Local Finances, in which the actions that the region's municipalities have implemented to boost the economy of the Hospitality and Commerce sectors during Covid-19, undoubtedly one of the hardest hit during this pandemic, have been discussed and analysed.
The mayors and councillors who are members of this committee of the Federation of Municipalities of the Region of Murcia have commented on all the measures that their town councils have implemented, such as direct aid to hoteliers and merchants, extension of rates for the occupation of public roads, water bill discounts, etc. In total, the investment that the public administration closest to the citizen, the town councils, are making is very substantial.
