The agreement is signed after a year of work at the Regional Local Administration Board and the goal is to reach 2020 with a temporary employment rate of less than 8%
The Federation of Municipalities of the Region of Murcia has signed this morning an agreement with the main unions for the development of the processes of consolidation and stabilization of employment in the municipalities of the Region of Murcia, through a series of instruments that are included in the agreement with the name of 'Plan for the Management of Human Resources in Local Administration'.
This agreement was born, after a year of work, within the Regional Table of Local Administration that was established, between FMRM and unions: CCOO, UGT and CSI-F, with the aim of settling labour issues and those of local employees in the municipalities of the Region of Murcia in a negotiation area without pressure, such as the Federation.
“This is a solid instrument that will allow us to undertake the processes of stabilization and consolidation of temporary work with the aim of reaching 2020 with a temporary employment rate below 8%,” according to the second agreement for the Improvement of Public Employment signed between the Central Government and unions, as highlighted during the signing by the president of the FMRM, Joaquín Hernández.
The plan is a roadmap for all local councils to carry out this process in a homogeneous manner and with coordination between local administrations. In addition, all local councils will be provided with a human resources management plan, a model of the call for tenders and the outline of the steps to follow.
Hernández also wanted to take this opportunity to congratulate both the unions and the technical working group, coordinated by José León, a technician at the San Javier City Council, and the Modernisation, HR and Training Commission of the FMRM, chaired by the mayor of La Unión, Pedro Noguera, for the work of understanding carried out during this time to reach this historic agreement.
The event was also attended by the Vice President of the Modernisation, Human Resources and Training Commission and Mayor of Torre Pacheco, Antonio León; the Secretary General of FMRM, Manuel Pato; Antonio Martínez, representing UGT; Miguel Alcaraz, from CCOO; and Manuel Rodríguez, on behalf of CSI-F.
