The Secretary General of the FMRM, Manuel Pato, attended this morning the Plenary Session of the Observatory for School Coexistence in the Department of Education, Youth and Sports of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia.
The plenary session has served to define the strategic lines to provide the educational community with tools for prevention and continuous improvement of the school climate. Thus, work groups have been organized to incorporate strategies to promote coexistence and eliminate conflict. These groups will review the procedure for the prevention and treatment of bullying among peers, especially cyberbullying, and will adopt educational measures regarding gender.
Manuel Pato has pointed out that "from the perspective of the town councils, although we do not have direct powers in educational matters, it is true that from our areas of education, social services, youth, local police, etc. we intervene in the improvement of educational coexistence, so it would be good if we worked on improving institutional coordination, in order to join forces."
