The meeting of the Executive Committee of the Federation of Municipalities, which is made up of mayors from the region, has taken place normally, this being the last of the 2019-2023 legislature chaired by María Dolores Muñoz, mayor of Bullas.
Among the items on the agenda, the date and place of the Extraordinary General Assembly in which the new FMRM representatives who will occupy the presidency and general secretary positions have been discussed.
This is the eleventh meeting held by the organisation, and all mayors in charge of the 45 municipalities in the region have a say in the election of the new positions.
On the other hand, during the committee meeting, the agreements pending signature that the FMRM has with other organizations were also reviewed, and which serve as support in the improvement and resolution of issues that interest the municipalities.
The President and the Secretary General have also given an account of the liquidation of the Federation's remodelling project and have provided some details of the current budgetary situation of the entity.
For their part, the attendees, the mayors present, Víctor Manuel López Abenza, from Ulea, Mario Pérez Cervera, from Los Alcázares, José Francisco García from Caravaca de la Cruz, and Mari Carmen Morales from Beniel, have approved all the matters discussed and have congratulated the work of President María Dolores Muñoz during her term.
