This term, the presidency of the Commission falls to the mayor of Alhama, Mariola Guevara Cava, and the vice-presidency to the mayor of Fuente Álamo, Juana María Martínez García.
The objective of this commission is mainly oriented towards the elaboration of proposals and deciding on measures that allow the economic reactivation of "these four social pillars such as education, culture, youth and sport. Maintain the Declaration of Commitment of Local Governments with the 2030 Agenda and undertake the full achievement of the SDGs in each of these areas.
All members and representatives of the Commission agree that today, the economic and social consequences are very evident in all the working committees, but this one is particularly vulnerable because it largely covers our youth. It is a Commission that needs the transversality of the rest, as well as the provision of sufficient financial resources.
On the other hand, special emphasis is placed on demanding recognition of the decisive role that local councils play in all areas of culture, promoting cultural development in the 45 local councils of the Region.
