The FMRM has held the Executive Commission as a prelude to its annual General Assembly to be held on November 26
This commission made up of 10 local councillors has approved providing the organisation with an economic-financial advisory service for town councils in view of the imminent arrival of the European Next Generation funds..
One of the most important decision-making bodies of the Federation of Municipalities met this morning at the FMRM offices to discuss various issues of interest for the functioning of the organization of which all the municipalities of the Region of Murcia are part.
The Executive Committee formed by the mayors of Bullas, with this one being the president of the same, Ulea, Lorca, Beniel, Cieza, Los Alcázares, San Pedro del Pinatar, Aledo and Caravaca, accompanied by the Secretary General of the FMRM, debated the points of the agenda among which were the proposal of a European project on the development of local renewable energy communities, the approval of Agreements with the Federation of Music Bands and the FREMM, the request to the CARM for the approval of an extension of the agreement of provision in Benefit of the Community, among others.
In addition, the meeting also approved the updating of FMRM representatives in the various regional and national bodies, a sign of the continued dynamism of local entities. The Federation is represented in more than 70 bodies and entities in which important decisions are made regarding municipal management.
FMRM President Lola Muñoz has highlighted that “the degree of consensus and coordination within the Executive Committee that has been achieved allows us to move forward in the objectives set out in the 10th General Assembly”.
Collaboration agreements
The Federation has numerous collaboration agreements with regional entities and companies to carry out actions that benefit the municipalities. Today's committee approved the signing of two new ones, one with the Federation of Music Bands of the region, and another with the Regional Federation of Metal Entrepreneurs (FREMM). The first of these has as its objective, among many other things, to promote the elaboration of a regional normative text that regulates musical activity in its different facets. In the case of the agreement with the FREMM, it will focus on raising awareness, raising awareness of companies for job insertion, the fight against the underground economy and collaboration in the promotion of clean energies.
Energy Communities
The FMRM continues the race for its participation and coordination in European projects involving municipalities and organizations with the aim of launching actions aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals and the Covenant of Mayors for Climate and Energy. After approval by the Executive Commission, the Federation of Municipalities will begin drafting the project based on the creation of Energy Communities in order to be one of those chosen by the European National Agency and thus carry out this plan in several municipalities under its coordination.
Energy Communities allow renewable resources to be exploited wherever they are and activate citizen participation in energy production.
Currently, FMRM is coordinating another EU-funded project, Life CityAdaP3, in which the municipalities of Alcantarilla, Lorquí, Molina de Segura, the Italian city of Reggio Emilia, the CSR Chair of the University of Murcia and Eurovértice Consultores are participating. Sixteen companies have already joined this project by signing agreements within the framework of CSR, with an investment of 16 euros so far.
