The representative of the 45 mayors of the region attended the funeral chapel of the mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta Germán, set up in the Plenary Hall of the Murcia City Council, where he signed the book of condolences on behalf of his associates, all the municipalities of the region.
López Abenza expressed his deep respect, sorrow, and admiration for Ballesta, highlighting his dedication to public service, his commitment to Murcia, and his staunch defense of local government. He also conveyed the support and affection of the 45 municipalities of the Region of Murcia to Ballesta's family, loved ones, and the entire municipal council.
The FMRM has invited all municipalities to observe a minute of silence today at 13:00 in memory of José Ballesta.
“His legacy is now the heritage of all the people of Murcia,” the Federation stated. May he rest in peace.
